One of the first questions everyone asks when they want to get into programming. I see this question a lot online and it is totally understandable. Many aspiring programmers don’t know what’s out there and what the main purpose is for each language. Also, they may not see much of a difference between each of the languages so it leaves them unsure where to start.
However, I think this is the wrong first question aspiring programmers should ask.
Most programmers agree that it really depends on what you are trying to build. Like choosing a verbal language to learn, it depends on who you’re trying to talk to. Most programming languages are similar, but each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Don’t worry, I hope to reorient you on the right questions you should be asking and the right focus you should have as an aspiring programmer. I’ll also share my own personal recommendation based on my personal programming journey.
In this video, you’ll learn:
✅ Why this is the wrong first question for aspiring programmers
✅ My personal recommendation on the best starting language
✅ Why the first language you learn may not matter
