In my last video, I talked about six steps on how to plan your Capstone coding project. If you don’t know what a Capstone project is, it’s just a term that I took from my university to describe a final project that we would do at the end of our semesters to showcase all the skills that we’ve learned in that class.
For you, this might look like looking back at your past couple of months or weeks, seeing all the programming skills you’ve acquired, and then showcasing all of those skills in this one final project.
The first step that I mentioned in that video is to come up with the idea for your project. That’s pretty obvious, but it’s actually one of the hardest things to do. I see this question a lot online—people are always asking for ideas on what kind of projects they should be making.
I understand the frustration behind this because they don’t want to build a project that is useless or a waste of time. They want to build something that helps them learn more about coding, pick up good programming skills, and also have fun.
So in this video, I’m going to talk about how to first come up with the idea for your project. I’ll also share a simple strategy that I’ve used throughout the years in my own programming journey.
Thank you for watching, and happy coding! 💻
