Why you should learn C

C is one of the big names in the programming world. Created in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie, this programming language has a long history and a continuing legacy that continues to this day. Much of the digital world has been built in C and even many popular languages like Python, Java, and JavaScript have been inspired by C.

What makes C so popular? Is it worth it to learn C in this day and age? What are the advantages to learning C over other programming languages? Having learned C formally in my university and being employed by university to help work with professors to teach my fellow students C, I have my biases for C.

Hopefully this video makes a good case for why you should learn C. I will give three reasons why you should learn C and explain its advantages and even disadvantages. I believe C is a good starting language towards becoming a solid programmer! Let’s discuss!

In this video, you’ll learn:
-The long lasting legacy of C
-The main advantages of C
-Why it would be a good starting language

Hope this helps!
